Viewing Sensors from the Desktop (recommended)

  1. Download the PortSensor Viewer for your OS.
    Windows: Download
    MacOSX (Intel): Download
    MacOSX (PPC): Download
    Linux (Intel): Download

  2. Click the 'Add Feed' button in the main toolbar:


  3. Enter:
    Name: Demo Feed
    URL: http://demo.portsensor.com/feed/demo_feed
    Check Every: 1 minute
    Password: (blank)

Viewing Sensors from the Browser

The Server receives sensor updates (e.g. Load, SMTP status) about objects (e.g. Servers, Switches) from any number of monitors.
You can create sharable feeds for specific groups of objects. These feeds can be viewed through web browsers, handheld devices or custom applications. The best way to monitor feeds is using the Desktop Viewer. The browser interface is useful for getting a network overview when you're away from the office.

The example below demonstrates accessing a feed through your normal web browser:
